BENNDALE STRUCTURE FIRES

On Tuesday, 09 August 2011 at approximately 6:18p.m., a structure fire was reported at 1218A Jim Jam Road in the Benndale Community of George County. This fire has been ruled as arson and is under investigation by George County Sheriff’s Department Fire Investigators and the State Fire Marshall’s Office.

On Friday, 12 August 2011 at approximately 9:42p.m., a structure fire was reported at 156 George Goff Road, also in the Benndale Community. This fire was investigated by the State Fire Marshall’s Office and a George County Sheriff’s Department Fire Investigator. At the time of this press release, no foul play is suspected and the two fires are not related.
