The George County Regional Correctional Facility (GCRCF) opened in May 2002. The Facility's purpose is to provide care, custody, and control of up to 280 adult male state inmates, through a contractual agreement with the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) as well as to provide care, custody and control of 154 male and/or female pre-trial inmates received from various agencies.
Inmate Commissary Procedures
Inmates are prohibited from having currency in their possession. Commissary funds are only accepted at www.tigerdeposits.com. Photo and Email credits are placed on an inmate’s account after a request is sent from the inmate being housed to the outside contact.
Commissary services are provided on a weekly basis, with the maximum expenditure amount of $150.00 per offender. Inmates are authorized to purchase a wide variety of items including personal hygiene products, food and drinks.
Inmate Mail Procedures
Effective May 1, 2024, George County inmates will received electronic copies of mail addressed to them.

*Mail received at the remote location will be processed and uploaded to the inmate's user profile by City Tele Coin personnel within 24 hours of receipt. Inmates will receive a digital copy of the originals available on all kiosks or tablets.
*Inmates will no longer receive any physical mail, other than legal mail and approved privileged mail.
*All legal mail must come from an official law office and should be addressed as it appears below.

Inmate Telephone Use Procedures
The living areas of GCRCF are equipped with tablets for use by inmates to video chat. All calls limited to a fifteen (15) minute call duration at a cost of $0.50 per minute. Telephone calls will be either collect or prepaid calls.

State Inmate telephone calls cost $0.11 per minute and limited to 15 minutes per call.
County Inmate telephone calls cost $0.35 per minute with an out of state cost of an additional $0.21 per minute and limited to 15 minutes per call.
All inmate telephone calls telephone conversations are subject to monitoring and/or recording.
Inmate Visitation
All inmates must complete a Visitor's Application form which must be approved prior to accepting visitors. State inmates may update their visitation lists once a year on their entry date into MDOC custody and processing at Central Mississippi Correctional Facility (CMCF). County inmates may update their visitation lists every sixty (60) days after initial entry into GCRCF. It is the inmate's responsibility to have all information required before approval is given. Visitation at the GCRCF is held on Saturday and Sunday on a bi-weekly schedule depending on the inmates housing location.
County Detainees no longer have contact visits. Visitors use the Kiosk Machines in the Multi-Purpose Room during regular visitation hours listed below:

"A" Alpha Zone 08:00 - 11:30am
"B" Bravo Zone 12:30 - 4:00pm
2nd and 4th Saturday
"C" Charlie Zone 08:00 - 11:30 am
"D" Delta Zone 12:30 - 4:00 pm
Chancery Court "Writs" may visit any Saturday or Sunday with immediate family and/or religious leader.
Even Holding Cells: 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Odd Holding Cells from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

"G" Golf Zone 12:30 - 4:00 pm
"H" Hotel Zone 12:30 - 4:00 pm

There is No visitation on 5th Saturday, 2nd, 4th or 5th Sunday
"J" Juliet Zone - Joint County Work Center has weekly visitation with any of the State Inmates zones at the designated times.

Visitor Dress Code
Dress Code for Male Visitors:
Shirts must be worn.
No tank tops or bare midriffs or sleeveless tops.
Shorts may not be above the knee.
No cut-off shorts, jogging shorts, or biking shorts.
Shoes must be worn (no house or shower shoes).
Under wear must be worn.
No pants pulled below the hip line.
No hats or head covering of any kind.
Hats, caps and bandanas will not be permitted.
No jewelry except wedding ring, religious medallion, and a medical alert bracelet.
Dress Code for Female Visitors:
Shorts at knee level or below
No hip huggers, cut-offs, jogging shorts, biking shorts or work out pants (i.e. yoga pants).
Skirts and dresses shall not be above the knee.
Slits shall not extend above the knee when seated.
No see through clothing.
No tank tops or bare midriffs or sleeveless tops.
Shoes must be worn (no house or shower shoes).
Underwear and bra must be worn.
Hats, caps and bandanas will not be permitted.
No jewelry except wedding ring, religious medallion, and a medical alert bracelet.
Dress code applies to children also.
Visitors departing units are not allowed to bring anything from units except canteen purchases.
