AGGRAVATED DOMESTIC ASSAULT

The George County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing that took place during a domestic disturbance on Thursday, October 19, 2017. Shortly after 11:00pm, deputies responded to a 911 call from a male who reported being stabbed on Highway 198 East. Upon arrival, they discovered Andrew Parnell (56) with several stab wounds. Mr. Parnell was transported by ambulance to an area hospital. Subsequent contact was made with a female, Donna Russell (46), at the Rock House Apartments on Hwy 198 East. After determining the incident occurred at Ms. Russell’s apartment, deputies detained her for questioning. She was later arrested for Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault. Ms. Russell is currently in custody at the George County Regional Correctional Facility awaiting an initial appearance before a judge.
