Burglary Suspect in Custody

May 23, 2018

On May 21, 2018, the George County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of multiple auto burglaries, as well as a commercial burglary, at a property in the Movella Community of George County, MS. The homeowners at the property were able to retrieve video surveillance of a shirtless man holding what appears to be a firearm at the front door of their residence. Authorities were able to identify the white male as Jacob McIntosh (27) of George County, otherwise known as Jacob Perry. Mr. McIntosh was arrested at his home, without incident, on the 21st day of May, 2018. McIntosh has since been charged with three counts of Commercial Burglary and is now being held at the George County Regional Correctional Facility. After an initial appearance before a George County Justice Court Judge, McIntosh was placed on a $15,000 Commercial Bond and remains incarcerated at this time.

This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information concerning this or any other crime is encouraged to contact the George County Sheriff’s Office at 601.947.4811.
