George County, MS - Sheriff Dean Howell says the sheriffs office is asking for information leading to the whereabouts of registered sex offender, Joseph Edward Catchot.

Catchot has failed to register as required by the State of Mississippi by presenting himself to the nearest Mississippi Highway Patrol driver’s license station to be issued a new ID card. Every 90 days, every sex offender in the state of Mississippi mustdo so to conform to sex offender laws.

Catchotis 5'9"tall and weighs approximately 180 lbs.Hehas black hair and hazel eyes.

He was convicted in Alabama in 1992 for sexual abuse first degree and sexual sodomy first degree.He served 10 years.

He has a tattoo on his left calf.
