Routine Traffic Stop Leads to Arrests

George Co., MS - A routine traffic stop by the George County Sheriff's office Friday, February 17, at approximately 1:00 p .m by members of the George County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division, resulted in the arrests of two Greene County men. 

As a result of the traffic stop and search of the vehicle, precursor chemicals and methamphetamine were found.

Arrested and charged were Mark Anthony Eubanks, 53, and Jonathan Jascob Smith, 32, both of Greene County. Both men were arrested and charged with possession of precursor chemicals with intent to manufacture methamphetamine as well as possession of methamphetamine.

In addition, the vehicle belonging to Eubanks was also seized.

Both men are expected in George County court Tuesday, Feburary 21, 2012.
