TWO MEN ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH BURGLARY

The George County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a burglary on Monday, May 23, 2011, on Meca Drive, in the Movella Community of George County.  Several thousand dollars of damage had been done and numerous items taken from the home.  The investigation of the crime led detectives to a mobile home on Goff Road.  Numerous items including power tools, and electronics were recovered.  The two men arrested in connection with the crime are Jonathan Bruce Goff, 18 years of age, of Lucedale, and Cody Brandon Harper, 18 years of age, of Vancleave.  Both men were charged with Burglary of a Dwelling, Grand Larceny, and Malicious Mischief. Goff and Harper are being held in the George County Regional Correction Facility awaiting an initial appearance before a Justice Court Judge.
