Traffic Accident Reports
Parties that are involved in a traffic accident can obtain a copy of the report, ten working days after the date of the accident. Requests can be made online, by mail or in person. Accident reports can be picked up in the George County Sheriff's Office during normal business hours, located in the George County Court House.

Traffic accident reports are available for a fee of $15.00 per report by mail or in person.
You will need to know the accident case number provided to you on the date of accident, date of accident and any other pertinent information to help in locating the report.
Offense and Incident Reports
Offense and Incident reports are provided to the complainant and/or victim free of charge for the initial copy. Requests for additional copies or as a result of a public records disclosure request will be charged a fee of $10.00 per report. Offense and Incident reports involving juveniles will not be released outside of law enforcement or Youth Court.

Misdemeanor Fines and Traffic Tickets

Public Records Requests
A written request for records giving name of person or Agency making request, the date of the request and the record requested should be submitted during normal office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, except legal holidays.
The following records are not considered to be searchable for public information:
- Investigative reports of open or pending cases including audio and video recording
- Names and personal information of victims, i.e. social security numbers, drivers' license numbers, telephone numbers, or financial account numbers.
- Names of juveniles.
- Names of confidential informants, or witnesses.
- Names of suspects in ongoing investigations.
In the event a request is denied, a written statement stating why the request is denied will be issued.
All requests will be granted or denied within seven (7) working days of the date of receipt of request. If a request is denied, a written explanation of the reason for denial will be provided.
